Discovering Us
must be so tired!”
“Not the first time I’ve pulled an all-nighter, El.” He chuckled. He’d moved his hand from my lips to rest on my thigh where his thumb continued moving back and forth.
“We picked up your car and brought it back,” Rebecca said then.
I’d forgotten all about it. Seriously, Rocket Fuel had turned me into a flaming idiot, making me forget things, lose time, and just generally be slow to think at all. Never indulging in the toxic stuff again. “Thanks, Bec,” I turned and looked at her with a grateful smile.
She comically raised her eyebrows all, Well? wanting the down low on what’d happened between Jag and me. Her actions were so obvious that I blushed as I looked back at her, my eyes bugging out trying to get her to stop, knowing Jag was watching our interchange.
“Dude, I need you to look at my Bronco. I think it’s getting ready to throw a rod,” Ross said to Jag, sparing me even more embarrassment, thank God. Ross was a classic car lover like Jag and had driven his ’72 Bronco since before he and Rebecca had started dating.
“You mind, babe?” Jag asked, smirking at me absolutely knowing that I’d be giving Rebecca all the details of our tryst once he and Ross went outside.
“Not at all,” I answered him, narrowing my eyes at his smirk. Well, I’d just give him more to think about. I leaned in and whispered in his ear, “Meet me in the shower later.” Then I hopped off his lap with a smirk of my own, walked over and grabbed Rebecca’s hand to pull her up off the couch and with a wicked smile over my shoulder at Jag, sashayed back to my room tugging my roommate along with me.

Chapter 12
I was two months away from turning twenty when all was right with my world.
Jag had stayed Saturday night too and left early Sunday morning so he could get back to his apartment and, in his exact words, “Get some rest from the nymphomaniac I’ve created.” I noticed he wore a humongous smile when he said that.
What can I say? As much as I liked kissing him, he should’ve known that once we’d had sex, the dam would be broken and I’d only want more. I didn’t hear him complaining any, though.
I’d told Rebecca everything, which had made her dance around my bedroom like a damned lunatic, making me burst out laughing. But I couldn’t help feeling giddy in the fact that Jag and I were now officially a couple. After we’d talked, Rebecca told me that she and Ross would stay at his place that night so Jag and I could have some time alone. I so loved her. She was such a good friend.
After they’d looked at and worked on Ross’s car, the guys had come in and had a beer before Rebecca and I came into the living room and she told Ross their plans for the night. Ross had raised an eyebrow, then with a grin punched Jag in the arm, winked at me, went to Rebecca’s room to gather up some stuff, came out, kissed the top of my head, gave Jag one of those man hugs, grinned once more, told Jag he’d be talking to him soon, told us both goodbye then grabbed Rebecca’s hand and they left. Well, wow. I so loved him too.
Jag then turned to me from where he sat on a barstool, and the look on his face could’ve melted the clothes right off me. Whoa.
“Shower?” was all he’d said before setting his beer down, getting up and stalking toward me looking all kinds of hot, his hair messy from working on Ross’s vehicle, a little smudge of grease on his face.
I gulped before squeaking out in a whisper, “Yeah?”
As he prowled toward me like some jungle cat, instinct, I guess it was, made me back away from him until I hit the wall. And still he kept coming toward me, that damned smirk on his face making every part of me go hot for him. When he made it to me, he pressed his body into mine, looking down at me, his eyes heated.
“ Yeah? My girl first teases me with a shower and now she’s questioning it?” He pressed his hips against my stomach so I could feel that he was serious
