was as far in as he could possibly go, but I knew what he meant.
I'm not a very trusting witch. I have issues. Lots of issues. And I wasn't great at sharing those issues.
    I'd work on it.
Because I sure as hell didn't plan to have a discussion about it right now.
"Okay." It came out more of a whisper. I'd lost most of my breath and all of my voice the moment Ash thrust inside me.
Luckily, Demons have super senses. I wasn't sure I was going to get my voice back any time soon.
Ash stared at me for a few more seconds.
    I wiggled enthusiastically.
He groaned, let go of my head, cupped my hip again and lifted me up.
He held me there for just a second and then he jerked me back down again. Hard.
Lifted me up. Jerked me back down.
    Again. And again. And again.
The entire time he kept his eyes locked on mine.
    Everything else faded away.
My world narrowed down until there was nothing, but Ash inside me, his amber eyes, and the pleasure building and building.
Like a Tsunami starting from a small wave and growing bigger and bigger in both size and force until it hit land and erupted.
Ash lifted me up one more time and I exploded on the downward thrust.
I don't know if he exploded with me or not.
    I'm not sure I cared.
I don't remember much after that.
The next thing I knew, I was sitting sideways in Ash's lap. With my legs over the arm of the wicker chair and my head resting on his shoulder.
I used to consider it bad form when I would pass out after having an orgasm with Ash.
Now I simply go with it.
The demon love of my life can make me pass out with pleasure.
    Woo Hoo.
I was completely sated. Limbs utterly relaxed. Breathing almost normal. I didn't even want to think of moving for the next half hour.
Ash sighed and cuddled me closer. "I think Al's show is over. He just got down from the couch."
I was up and out of his arms in less than a second.
I know Al knows what Ash and I do in the privacy of our bedroom. Or deck. But I tried to be as sensitive about it as I could.
Which meant I wrapped a blanket from the back of one of the chairs around my body toga style, tossed my ruined clothes over the edge of the deck railing and opened up a storage bench to grab some room spray.
"Are you sure that's necessary?" Ash waved his hand in front of his face and coughed.
I picked his vest up from the floor and tossed it at him. "Chihuahuas have extremely sensitive noses."
"I know that, but we're outside. Any smells will be gone in a few minutes."
    I continued spritzing and spraying.
"I know, but Al will be at the door and wanting to come out in less time than that."
Ash grabbed my hand with the deodorizer. "Kate, Al knows we're together. He knows we make love."
My heart pitter-patted for a moment.
Make love. Ash said make love . Not sex. I knew Ash loved me. He told me daily. He showed me in countless ways how much he cared for me.
But I'm a hopelessly romantic witch. I have to be since I'm both cursed to Fail in Love, and yet match make for a living.
Ash and I made love. Like we were building something together. A future.
    My heart pitter-patted again.
"I know Al knows, Ash. But do you want to look him in the eye when he comes out here and takes a sniff?"
Al's bulging, wet, brown eyes get me every time.
Ash glanced around the deck, looked at the chair we'd recently vacated.
He turned back to me. "Do you have any more spray?"
I guess I'm not the only one who is a sucker for Al's eyes.

14. A Bad Feeling.

I sat back in my chair. Damn it. Where the hell could Morgause be?
I'd gotten to work a couple hours early as per my usual these last few weeks and yet I was exactly where I had been when I'd started actively searching for Morgause.
    Nowhere.
    I didn't have a single clue.
Every link I'd followed on Google had ended in a dead end.
    Every. Single. One.
I was starting to get really worried.
More than that, I was starting to get nervous.
I'm cursed to Fail in Love. My entire coven is. Aunt Tabitha and
