extra week’s vacation on the island at no extra charge because Hurricane Nathan has spoiled some of your fun. He suggested you all contact your tour agent and employers or whomever you need to, so you can all stay longer with us,” Declan said.
Colter watched her face as various expressions chased each other across it. First was excitement and pleasure, then concern, followed by thoughtfulness. She was a damn smart woman. She was already thinking about whether it would be workable for her to take an extra week.
“Your Alpha is a clever man. My boss definitely will hate me staying away longer. But he would hate it even worse if it was mentioned on the news that because of the hurricane everyone was offered replacement time and my employer wouldn’t let me stay. He’ll be madder than a hornet, but he won’t dare refuse.”
“Will the company pay for the extra time?” asked Asher.
“The time doesn’t matter. I’ve got a lot of leave I haven’t used. My usual problem is convincing my boss to cope without me. It’s not that I’m irreplaceable at all, just that he’s damn lazy and prefers me to cover for him all the time. I’ll enjoy staying here longer. There are so many things we haven’t done yet.” She stared at him, and he smiled back at her. “We plan to do some of them tonight.”
“Excellent. Shall we go down to the dungeon and get started?”
“Don’t you want to ask us more questions?” Declan asked.
“What for? We won’t know the details of my stay until after I talk to my boss, and the easiest way for me to find out what you’ve planned for tonight is for me to do it.”
“Did you enjoy your dinner?” Asher asked.
“Dinner?”
She paused and Colter knew she was trying to not think about the dungeon while she remembered back an hour ago.
“Oh, yes, thank you it was delicious. The food here has been wonderful.”
But it was very obvious that all her thoughts were on the dungeon scene she’d so correctly guessed they were about to play. Her eyes had a faraway look in them that instantly told him all he needed to know about where her thoughts were right now. Damn, that was wonderful news. She’d checked so many boxes, and the small amount of time they’d spent had been positive, but the fact that she was eager to learn more about BDSM, that she’d asked to go into the dungeon, that she’d refused to wait until tomorrow even though she must be tired, was the best sign yet that she was so very compatible for them. A mate who wasn’t interested in the dungeon would still be loved and cherished. But adding BDSM to their marriage would enrich it so much more than a vanilla lifestyle could.
Colter sighed with relief.
Chapter Six
Declan watched her delicious ass sway down the stairs into the dungeon ahead of him. She was wearing a T-shirt with a sweater over it and shorts, which surprised him a little, until he remembered her complaints about only being permitted a carry-on suitcase. He supposed all her jeans were wet or dirty so she had to wear shorts. But that was fine by him. He liked the look of her long, bare legs.
Her skin was only very lightly tanned, so he knew she didn’t get out into the sunshine nearly as often as he did. But likely that was because of her work. She hadn’t sunburned at all the days they’d been together, and they’d been outside in glorious weather all day each day.
She surprised him by walking across to the spanking bench and sitting on it with her legs crossed. He’d never seen her cross her legs before and guessed she was doing it deliberately but had no idea why. It did show off their sleek, silky length, but any position would do that.
“Undress and wait for your Masters,” Colter ordered.
“You know, it’s always me who has to undress. I think that’s rather unfair. There are four people in this room. At the very least, if one is expected to be naked, two should be, just for mathematical balancing purposes.”
