“ Let
me jump in the shower and get Campbell, then we can roll. ”
    “ Don ’ t
you mean Sunshine, lover boy? ”
“ Shut the fuck up man! ” I pushed him as I walked
past him.
    “ What, ” he teased, “ don ’ t
find me funny no more? ”
“ Funny looking maybe. ” His laughter followed me up
the steps of the motel. “ Asshole. ”
I walked up the flight of stairs and
neared the motel room when I heard Campbell screaming. I barreled into the room
with my gun drawn, scanning it before running to the bed and taking Sunshine in
my arms.
“ Shh, Sunshine. I got you.
It was just a dream. You ’ re safe. ” Campbell buried herself
into my chest as she tried to slow down her breathing. After several deep
breaths, she looked up at me with tears in her eyes.
“ Tank. ” Her voice cracked as tears
ran down her cheeks.
    “ I ’ m
here. No one else. Just me, ” I soothed. I pulled her onto my lap so that
she straddled me as I rubbed circles on her back. “ I
got you, ” I assured her.  I would
hold her as long as she needed. After a little while, Sunshine sat straight up
as she took in my appearance.
“ You look like shit, ” she teased. A small smile
on her face.
    “ I feel like shit. ”
“ And you smell delightful. ”
    “ Well aren ’ t
you the comedian. ” Her smile grew bigger. “ Everything
is cleaned up so I am going to jump in the shower so we can get out of here. ”
“ Ok, ” was all she said as her
hands cupped my face.
    “ You okay? ” I asked.
“ I will be, ” she responded as she
lightly kissed my lips. My cock grew as she slowly wiggled her warm body
against it.
“ Sunshine, ” I groaned as I moved to get
out of the bed.
    “ Ok, I ’ ll
stop, ” she promised as she clung
to me. Sunshine gently ran her hands through my hair. My eyes closed on their
own accord as I relished in her touch. Her warm breath fanned across my cheek.
I opened my eyes to find Campbell staring back at me. She brushed her lips
across mine. She pulled back slightly taking in my smile.  “ What
has you smiling? ”
    “ You, ” I answered honestly as I
pulled her back down to me and pressed my lips to hers. I felt her smile in
return. A knock on the door had me pulling away. “ You
ready? ” Knox yelled through the
door.
    “ Ten minutes, ” I hollered.
“ Five, ” Knox joked back.
    “ Asshole. ” Campbell ’ s
laughter filled the room. I would never tire of that sound. A smile spread
across my face as I leaned in and placed another kiss to her lips. “ I
gotta shower. ”
“ Yes you do. ” She joked, but grimaced as
she sat up. “ Aren ’ t
you sore? ” she
asked as I helped her to stand.
    “ I will be when I finally
rest, ” I said as she looked me
over.
“ Maybe we should stay for
the night so you can. ” Her concern for me was evident.
“ Knox is waiting and we
should get back. I am sure we are on lockdown by now. ”
    “ You ’ re
probably right. ” I placed a chaste kiss to her lips before
heading to the bathroom.
My shower was quick as I washed away
too much blood, some of my own and a lot of theirs. I was dressed and out of
the bathroom right as a horn honked. Knox was so impatient.
    “ We ’ re
coming, ” I griped. My body fought
against me the entire time as aches and pains assaulted my body for the first
time since this shit show started.
“ You ok? ” The look of concern on
Sunshine ’ s
face had me pulling her into my body.
    “ Yes, ” I replied as I kissed her
forehead. “ Let ’ s
get back. ” She
nodded as I led her out of the room. I opened the passenger door to Knox ’ s
truck and Campbell slowly climbed up and into the middle seat.
“ Everything good? ” Knox asked as he stood on
the other side looking over at me. I looked at Campbell smiling back at me and
then to Knox, “ Never better. ”
We sped all the way to the clubhouse.
Sunshine had snuggled up against me as I lay my head against the top of hers.
We must have both fallen
