the focus was really on them.”
“Oh, wow, that’s so sad. You mentioned them before.” She set her hand on his shoulder. “You knew her well, too?”
“Yeah, she was a wonderful woman. I honestly wasn’t sure how Toby would get better. But he has been.”
He picked up her hand, nibbled on her fingers. “Actually, he’s coming to visit me in a few weeks. If you’re interested, you could meet him, see how you’d feel about us all doing a scene together. Maybe we could fulfill some of your fantasies.”
Her stomach gave a little lurch at the idea and apparently so did other parts of her body. He laughed and wiggled his fingers at the edge of her sex. “I think you like that idea. My dick in your pussy, his up your ass. Two tongues to drive you crazy.”
She grinned. “Yeah, I’d be okay with exploring that option.” She also hadn’t missed the fact that he was making plans for weeks in advance. But she needed to be clear about what they were doing.
“I’m definitely glad you checked with me first, though. I should ask, are we going to be exclusive while we’re playing?”
    “Is that what you want?”
“I’d want you to tell me if you’re playing with anyone else. Dating or having sex with anyone that’s not playing too.”
“Fine. No sex or dating without informing each other.”
She let out a little whoosh of breath, relieved that he wasn’t annoyed. Taking the last bite of waffle, she checked her watch and squeaked. “Shit, checkout is in thirty minutes. I need to get my things packed.”
Leaving at checkout would give her just enough time to get to her salon date with Stephanie. Jumping up, she rushed around getting her things together, fixing her hair and getting dressed. Drew took much less time, then read the newspaper while she finished. Part of her was relieved that they didn’t have time for any weirdness. As much as they both wanted to keep things club-like, they weren’t in a club. This felt a lot more like the morning after of a very successful date than it did the end of a long night at the club.
As they walked out the hotel’s front door, the valet drove up in her rental car. She turned to Drew, but he grabbed her suitcase and wheeled it to the trunk, watching as the driver jumped out and loaded it. Drew paid the valet and held her door open, standing in front of it, letting her come to him. She walked right into him, laying her lips against his. He opened, pushed her open, took possession. She immediately got wet for him. His hands gripped her arms, pulling her closer before finally setting her back.
He cleared his throat. “I’ll call you.” Squeezing past her, he gently nudged her into the car, closed the door, watched while she lowered the top. Then he leaned on the door and lowered his sunglasses, meeting her gaze.
    “You be careful driving home.”
She smiled. He just couldn’t help himself. “Yes, Officer.”
When she walked into the nail salon, she spotted Stephanie immediately. The bright streaks in her hair might be magenta today, cobalt tomorrow, but they were ever present, whatever the color. The natural blonde had decided to both embrace her given color and defy it. She spotted Emma’s approach and rose to greet her with a huge hug.
“Hey, girl,” Emma said, once she could safely breath again.
“Emma! I can’t believe you came all the way up here, finally, and you didn’t come play!”
“Oh, I played.” She couldn’t keep the satisfied smirk from her face. Didn’t even try, actually. “Just not at the club.”
“So he’s in the scene, then? I thought maybe you were trying out something vanilla.”
They paused to choose polish colors than moved to the spa chairs that they were directed to, picking the conversation right back up. That was one of the things Emma liked best about Steph. They could go months without seeing each other, but fell easily back into step.
She groaned as she placed her feet into the hot water. All her walking the
